You might have read it in the Forum already, but this past weekend was very effective when it comes to closing deals! :) As you can read in the post below, we have officially confirmed the location of our wedding, so we're obviously excited about that!
Then there was more good news: most of my Dutch friends and family have (finally) booked their vacation!
It took my friends a few months to decide what kind of trip they wanted, which - unfortunately - made the flight quite a bit more expensive than it was back in January. Still they booked it, which I obviously think is AWESOME! I'm telling you, I didn't expect so many of them to actually go thru with it! :)
So here are their plans:
3 weeks:
- Menno (a.k.a. The Plop)
- Mark (a.k.a Ak/Ax/Maestro -> NOT me!)
- Bjorn (a.k.a. Beer/Bear)
- Jos (a.k.a. Best Man)
- Natalie (a.k.a. Jos' chiquita)
They arriving on August 18th and will stay in San Francisco until the 24th. They will then rent a camper and travel around California, Arizona and Nevada for 2 weeks... in this super awesome monster below, the Road Bear!
1 week:
Then we have a few people who will be visiting San Francisco only. Obviously very smart, cause this is the coolest city anyways! ;-)
- Leon
- Ron
- Stefan
They will be accompanied by none other than my grandma, a.ka. Supergranny!
The best thing about it all, is that all 9 who are mentioned above, have the same flight to San Francisco on the 18th! The ones who are staying for a week, will leave on the 24th, along with José and Hans (read about their plans here).
1 day:
Then there's also my cousin Rob, who is planning to arrive on Sunday and then will fly back the next day! It's not 100% sure yet if that's possible with KLM, but if it works out, I'd say that's the most original plan of them all! :-D Just so you know: that's travelling 11,000 miles / 17.600 kilometers in a little over 24 hours... just for our wedding!!!
So yeah, all and all I'm glad that most people have booked it. As soon as there is more news (my uncle Peter and aunt Ineke still have to book their flight) I will let you know of course!
Hopefully there will be more news about my Immigration as well... it's been a few weeks since I've last heard from the US Consulate, so I'm expecting more news to come soon!
