First of all, Steevus and Bjorn feel alone in this Forum... so to all you other site visitors: don't just read the posts, but REPLY as well!!
Anyways, I was wondering if you already have plans for your stay in San Francisco... obviously I will be "tourguiding" you a lot, but since I also have this thing called a wedding, I won't be around all the time. So I was wondering if you already had plans/ideas of places you wanted to go to?
To give you a bit of an idea, here's roughly what I had in mind for your stay:
- Thursday is the day that most of you (all except Beer) will be arriving. It'll be evening by the time you'll get here, so not much is planned for that day, except maybe a few "Welcome to San Francisco-Heinekens'"
- Friday I can be your tourguide... I haven't figured out yet which parts of San Francisco I will show yet... cause I don't want Beer to miss out on to much.
- Saturday morning (around 9) I will pick up Beer from Oakland airport. After a short reunion in downtown San Francisco with "The Mannen" () we will be headed for Burlingame, where we have the wedding rehearsal at 1 PM... I am not sure what the plan is for after that, so I will keep that a secret at this point... What I CAN tell you is that you will be sleeping at the Crowne Plaza in Foster City that night.
- Sunday is August 21st, also known as The Day. Details about the plans for that day will be reveiled later as well...
- Monday is all up to you. I will be spending that day with my wife, so have fun with whatever you wanna do! I was thinking that it might be a good idea for you to rent a car and go to SixFlags Marineworld in Vallejo... which is less than an hour drive away from San Francisco. In a previous post I recommended Great America... but unfortunately their summer-season ends on the 21st, meaning that they will only be open on the weekends (and NO, you're NOT allowed to go on the 21st!! )
- Tuesday I can be your tourguide again... showing you whatever you haven't seen on Friday yet. In the evening we will be attending a Giants game.
- Wednesday is already your departure date. Some will go home, some will rent a car, some will rent a Road Bear, some will go on a plane and spend their wedding money in Vegas!
So yeah... that's MY plan... but it's YOUR vacation, so it's all up to you... and oh yeah, if you do decide to go to SixFlags on Monday, I can recommend to get your tickets on-line already... since that's a lot cheaper than buying it there (might save you more than $20!).
So once again, don't just read these posts... give me (and the others) some feedback... thank you very much.
Hey bud, don't worry too much about what I'll be missing out on that Friday. Being the lowlife bum I am, I might just stick in SF for a while when the others are long gone, doing the working thing back home again......
Hey bud, do you have a photo shoot schedualed with all 'de mannen' in tux in front of the GGB? I wouldn't mind having that pic hanging on my wall (if I'm ever gonna own a wall of my own....)
Isn't Marine world like going to Dolphinarium Harderwijk? We could also check out Alcatraz on the monday since you've been there a million times already. I'll check out the opinion of the rest of "de mannen" .
See ya soon.
Our, soon to be married, friend pointed me to the website of Marine World and it seems they also have cool rides (no fish involved). So maybe it's a good idea after all.
I don't expect any replies, because I've got the feeling not eveyone is reading the comments on the Forum / Prikbord. Except for Dirk and Ellen offcourse.
